Original Vintage Martinair poster that is fast becoming one of the most collectible contemporary advertising posters. This dates to the New Year 2000, a look back at the past century with a playful nod to the seductive island way of the Dominican Republic from this Dutch airline. With bright-eyed Martinair stewardess, Moniek, and a gorgeous beach backgrounds, this contemporary Dutch graphic entices the traveler through its visual poetry to fly to the Dominican Republic.
We rarely ever venture into posters from this era, but this just has it all to our eyes, and is a scarce piece of illustration art/fine art poster design with a retro-looking flight attendant complete with parrot on her shoulder and reads; With Moniek to the Dominican Republic with a tagline of "Sun, Sea, Beach and a Charming Interior".
Martinair Holland N.V., operating as Martinair, is a Dutch airline based in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area in Netherlands. The airline was founded in 1958 by Martin Schröder. Since 2011, Martinair operates entirely as a cargo airline with services to over 50 destinations worldwide. Prior to that date, passenger flights were also operated. Flights are on a scheduled basis, but charter services are also operated. The Martinair headquarters are in the TransPort Building on the grounds of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
