Ancient Neolitic Disk-Shaped Quartz Beads from Sahara

Description

On offer are several strands of ancient Neolitic quartz strands of disk-shaped beads. Although of venerable age, the beads are in a good ancient conditions.
Strands A-E are long 33" (with raffia, approx. 24" of beads) strands of approximately 200 graduated disc-shaped beads. The strands are graduated from about 18mm to 10mm. These strands are as they were excavated, with yellowish patina.
Strands F and G are shorter (Strand F is about 20 inchers long, strand G is about 10 inches long). These are from a strand identical to A-E, but cleaned and polished to reveal what the beads may have looked like when they were made. The beads on these strands are of lighter while-beige, with some pink and gray, hues. They have also been slightly reduced in size from polishing and range from 18 to 9mm n diameter.
